Digital Inclusion for Rural Development

The digital divide remains one of the greatest barriers to inclusive development in Africa. Many rural communities remain disconnected from essential information, modern banking tools, and online opportunities.

ADAF has launched a Digital Inclusion Program to bridge this gap. By equipping local cooperatives with mobile platforms and training, we are ensuring that financial services are only a phone call away.

Key Initiatives:

  • Mobile banking tools for MC² cooperatives.
  • Training sessions in digital literacy.
  • Development of ADAF’s mobile app to track loans and community projects.

Impact:

  • Over 15,000 members now use mobile transactions instead of traveling long distances.
  • Increased transparency and security in rural microfinance operations.

Quote:

"For the first time, I can check my savings from home using my phone. It makes me feel connected to the wider world," says Joseph, a farmer from East Cameroon.says Joseph, a farmer from East Cameroon.

Looking Ahead: We aim to expand digital literacy training to all MC² institutions by 2030, empowering even the most remote communities to benefit from the digital economy.
